Congratulations to Parker Bott, 3rd grader from Browns Point Elementary PTA 10.9.50 for Outstanding Interpretation of her Music Entry "This song was written in my room using my drum set. I wrote this song because I have everything I need in my life to survive. I feel lucky to have a mom and dad who can help me and give me food. I also feel lucky to have a warm bed every night to sleep comfortably. The song title 'I am on top of the world' tells me that my family cares about me, everything will be okay, and I can be whoever I want to be."
Best wishes Parker as your entry advances to National PTA !!

Inner Beauty

We are encouraged to look within, but I encourage you to go further and look at our impact.  It's a vicious life cycle.  We make a living by cutting down trees, which then depletes wildlife and natural resources which in turn accelerates Earth Overshoot Day.  We always think about how to make life better:  comfort, accessibility, automaticity.  Ultimately, we are truly making our lives better, or are we destroying ourselves from within?

Inside Out

I wanted to show the theme with my gymnastics skills.  They started small, like looking inside, and got bigger.  The last big skills are like opening up.  It's like looking into yourself and reflection your feelings.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR STATE WINNERS/FINALISTS FROM TACOMA
FILM  K-2  Award of Merit   Mina Smith  Born a Hero    Browns Point PTA, 10.9.50
This is an interview with my cousin.  She was born a hero because she has Pfeiffer Syndrome.  Her bones grow differently.  She looks different, too.  But she is very funny, loving, and caring.  She is strong and brave.  She has a beautiful heart.  Food makes her happy.  She wants to be a princess when she grows up.  She may look different but she is just like us.  It is okay to be different.  We can all become heroes by being kind to others even if they are different than us. Our superpower is love !

PHOTOGRAPHY Grades 3-5  Award of Merit   Jacob Rogers  My Mom and My Hero   Pt. Defiance PTA, 10.9.165
