What is the purpose of a PTA Council?
Council Leaders provide support, guidance and training to the Tacoma local PTAs
Council Leaders are the liaison between the local PTAs and the Region & State PTA
Council also promotes and celebrates the Reflections Art Program
Over the past several years, it has been difficult to recruit council leaders, leaving the same council officers rotating positions over and over. Without new leaders, the council cannot be sustained.
Our Nominating Committee has reached out via various means of communications,
but has not been successful in finding new leaders.
Without Council, local PTA leaders will be able to receive support from
the Region Leadership, Area C Vice-President ([email protected]),
the WSPTA Board of Directors or from the WSPTA Office Staff ([email protected]).
Non-Council PTAs will still be able enter Reflections by submitting directly to State January 2022.
See WSPTA Website for rules. https://www.wastatepta.org/events-programs/reflections/
Next year's Reflections Theme, "I Will Change The World By"
will be taking a vote to Dissolve the Council
